It's Too Cold!!

I am so bummed. Ever since we decided to move to Michigan, I have heard over and over how fun it is to go apple picking in the fall, and get fresh apple cider and donuts. I have been wanting to go for a while, and just haven't made it out. A bunch of girls from church were planning on going today, so we went too. The bummer? It was the COLDEST day we have had yet. It was seriously freezing today, and really windy. I had bundled Kaylie up in some warm clothes, but I don't have many warm clothes for me yet, so I was freezing. And Kaylie has been sick with a cold since Friday, so her nose was running like crazy and we were both miserable. So...we ended up buying a few apples, donuts, and cider, and then went home. So sad. Maybe we can try again another day...if it doesn't start snowing. Seriously, it's that cold already, and it's not even October yet. Grr...

For My Sisters...

Diana, Karen, and Cindy: So I guess you guys don't have to teach Kaylie to eat like a puppy dog anymore. She started doing this all on her own today. Nice! :)

Family Pics

I am so excited! For our b-day's this year, Mark and I decided that we wanted to finally take some family pictures so we could put some fun pictures on our walls. We booked a photo session with Tiffany Hodson (awesome photographer and family friend), and just received our CD of pictures today. Yeah! I love them! Here are a few of our fav's.

Go Michigan!

I got to go to my first Michigan football game yesterday, and it was a blast! I was worried that I would never make it to a game (figured I would always be on baby duty), but Mark's mom and dad watched Kaylie for us so we could go. It was great! The stadium was HUGE, and there were a ton of people there (about 109,000 to be exact). We were sitting in the student section, which was a lot of fun. The fans were crazy, and the chants were hilarious. We were pretty close to the field too, which was cool. Oh, and Michigan won, which made it that much better! :) I was happy to find out when we got home from the game too that Kaylie was perfect for Mark's parents, and didn't freak out at all while we were gone. Yeah! Maybe we will have to go out more often... Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Our New Place

As promised, here are some pics of our new apartment in Michigan. We are pretty much unpacked now. Just working on getting pictures on the wall, and trying to make the place feel like home. :) We still have some work to do, some things to buy, but it's coming together. (Notice the great paint job - courtesy of the Jensen family!) :)

Our apartment has one and a half baths. Shower in the middle, and a toilet/sink on either side.

Washer/dryer IN the closet. It's a little tight, but everything fits.

There's not much in Kaylie's room right now, so I didn't post a pic. Poor girl! The only thing in her room right now is a crib. We'll hopefully get some furniture and organize her room soon!

Just wanted to post these for fun. The last few times I have taken pictures of Kaylie, she has tried to attack the camera. Makes me laugh!

Swimming in Michigan

So I was worried that our tradition of going swimming at least once a week with Kaylie would end once we moved from California, but I am happy to know that there are swimming pools in Michigan. :) We've gone twice since we moved, and will go again as soon as it stops raining. Kaylie LOVES the water. She is hilarious! We took her to the Johansson's pool last week (friends of Mark's family), and we put her in a little floatie for the first time. She paddled her arms and kicked her legs almost the entire time we were there. I think she is going to be a swimmer when she grows up. (In addition to being a dancer, piano player, and volleyball player...) She is too cute!

(Bytheway, thanks everyone for your fun comments on my first post! I am new to the blogging world, and am wondering how I can respond to some of the notes. Do I just make a comment post? Or is there a way to respond to just the person who made the comment? If anyone has any tips, please let me know.)
